According to NASA approximately 95,000 tonnes of hydrogen and 1,600 tonnes of helium are lost directly into space each year.
According to ME, all this hydrogen returns to the earth in the form of water by combining with oxygen. Helium naturally breaks down into hydrogen and in turn forms water.
