Hi. everyone.
Wrong scientific information about lightning.
We are told here:
https://youtu.be/2kQUa6m8znk
That the length of a lightning varies from 100 m to 20 km and that its thickness reaches 3 cm !!!
I say that the thickness (width) of a lightning goes from that of a stream to that of a large river
Let's do a little calculation.
you see a house 250 m from you, its apparent size is 24 mm or 2.4 cm or 0.024 m, the real size of the house is.
(250 x 0.024) / 0.68 * = 8.82 m. or 9 m
However, the apparent thickness (width) of a flash for example is 1 cm or 0.01 m, this flash occurred at a distance of 1 km or 1000 m. so its actual thickness (width) would be:
(0.01 x 1000 / 0.68 * = 14, 405 m or 15 m *
and it's even bigger than I thought.
Thanks
